Tomorrow is Father's Day!!

Can't believe another week has gone by again.  But here it is and tomorrow will be Father's Day!  I have a few cards to share with you this week.   A neighbor of mine wanted some cards made for her.  So this week I have been busy filling this order.  She asked for some Sympathy; Anniversary and of course Birthday cards!!

This card was such a simple yet elegant card to make.  I took music background paper and stamped this flower on it.  I stamped it in green and burgundy.  I added some glitter to the burgundy petals.  It gives it a softer feel.  I stamped my sentiment and die cut and stamped around it and popped it up for the 3-D effect.
She also needed an Anniversary card.  It is hard to see, but I used two types of glitter paper for this.  One in gold and one in white.  This square fancy die is from Spellbinders.  The square in the middle is from Lawn Fawn die cut set.  I punched out two gold hearts, stamped the sentiment from Fiskars.  Then wrapped it up with a beautiful white bow.
She needed a 'guy' birthday card.  So I used this beautiful image stamp from Sweet n' Sassy.  The sentiment stamp is made from Flonz.  I colored the image in chalk.
This card I made this morning for the Inspirational Challenge.  I really like the way the butterfly pops off the page, don't you?  Thank you stamp is from OTC, I used my Lawn Fawn square dies for this.  I turned one around after die cutting the square inside a square.  Confusing huh?  Not really!  I added white gems to the body of the butterfly to make it stand out even more.

Now here we are  with Father's Day.  I used this one to wish the 'Office guy' a Happy Father's Day.  I use plaid for the base of this card.  Adding two rectangles, slightly angled.  Added a tie, with a 'stud diamond' now how is that for high class?  A pair of glasses, with lacquer in the lens, stamped with the HFD sentiment, and added the red gems for effect!
I guess I must be stuck on the office for Father's day.  As you can see this die is a suit and tie, with just an added sentiment to set the tone right.

Well as always - I sure hope to hear from you and I wish you a blessed week!  God bless!  Jan

A bit late this weekend .... my red blood count is really low, makes me very sick.  I lose one more point and it is Blood Transfusion time.  Which I am desperately trying to stay away from!  Aside from that ~ This afternoon I feel better so hopefully I can please you with some cute cards!

Now this is easy as pie!  (Easier).  I die cut two squares in my rectangle stitched dies, centered them on Stampin' Up paper.  I stamped Thank you by Stampendous, added some green gems and die cut my butterfly (SB), and added some more gems to its body.
I was at Wal-Mart shopping, and saw this cute deer (made out of wood and already painted) and thought I have GOT to use it on a card.  This challenge called for us to use a piece of trash - something we would normally throw away.  I used one of those plastic clips you find in folded up blouses that are sent to you.  I added a paper punched butterfly and put pearls on it.  As a clip I use a small rectangle stamped 'Precious little one'.  Yellow Card Stock is from Stampin' Up, the DP is from Love Story papers.
This challenge asked us to use stripes and polka dots together.  Which I did - dividing them with adhesive yellow lace.  I then added this beautiful flower and leaves set, I bought from a sweet lady on E-bay.  I also added small and medium yellow pearls.  Stamped is by Penny Black.
This challenge was a color challenge:  Light and Medium blue with green:  I chalked on my clouds and my ground.  I stamped the trees (Heartfelt Creations), the birds were stamped by Serendipity, the sentiments are from Sweet n' Sassy.  I had a die cut deer from someone (can't remember who sent those).  Added a black gem for his eye.
I chalked the background.  Stamps:  Man rowing the boat: Victorian Originals;  Birds: Serendipity; Sentiment: My Sentiment Exactly.

As usual I do hope to hear from you - and may God bless you and keep you in His care till next week!

We are in June!!! Half the year is almost over ....

I have been sick this past week; and still not doing well -- but I am not short on cards!  Here is this week's cards to share!

This year I have volunteered to be one of the many hostesses for VSN.  You ask, 'What is VSN?"  VSN stands for Virtual Stamping Night - and it happens on Splitcoaststampers!!  We were told to use something sports-wise.  Growing up I use to go and see the Angels play in Southern California.  Their colors?  Red, White and Blue!!  I found this little guy online and printed him off twice.  I fussy cut one and popped him up on top of the printed one for the 3-D effect.  I punched out the stars and glued them on.  Then placed diamond gems on them.  Also there is one on the flag our little guy is holding.  I printed off the sentiment, which we always sang, 'Take me out to the ball game!'
This week our Tea Potter's challenge hostess (who lives in Canada) asked up to make encouraging cards that featured either the firetrucks or police.  As you may be aware; Canada has lost a lot of lives and land due to fires.  People have lost their homes, and all of their belongings.  We need to encourage them.  The challenge said we get extra 'cookies' if we put the word 'Canada' on our cards.  (Made up cookies).  You can find mine on the truck.  I stamped the sun.clouds (Stacy Stamps) and trees (Heartfelt Creations) - took chalk and colored the hillside.  I also used a little gray for the sky.  The sentiment, 'When all seems lost, GOD SAYS, 'I HAVE IT'.  That stamp is from Sweet n' Sassy.  Last not lease I cut a strip of black card stock, and drew white lines down the middle to look like a road.
Inspirational Challenge this week took us to a website of romantic shoes!  YES - shoes!  If you would like to see the shoes that challenged me today here is a link to it.  Shoes.   As you can see there is a lot of gold on white.  I die cut my tree  and the curvy  line (both are made by Memory Box).  I stamped my sentiment made by, 'American Art Stamp'.  Then I took silver and gold glitter glue and placed silver on the gold tree; gold on the sentiment flowers.  I also die cut the birds in gold foil paper (did I forget to mention that before?)  The bird die is made by 'Impression Obsession'.
I got a new stamp I have been dying to try!  It is this flower by 'Hero Arts'.  I placed Bamboo Leaves ink on the leaves and stem and Rhubarb Stalk on the flower.  I then took chalk and colored the middle and then added yellow pearl glue to the center.  I adhered the Washi tape across the card.  Placed my stamp image which I die cut a square with stitches made by 'Lawn Fawn'.  I punched out the butterfly.  I folded back the wings and put black pearl glue for the body.  If you look really close you will see they look like gems and not a straight  line.  The sentiment is made by 'Verve.'
Well with Father's Day coming up - I had to get cracking and make some different Father's Day cards to sell.  This is one of them.  I stamped on two different size tags - In the hole I placed a brad that looks like a screw.  Another one smaller, in the upper right hand corner.  I then took apart some twine and draped it around it.  I punched out a pennant and place that under it.  The sentiment stamp is made by 'My Sentiments Exactly'.  The car stamp is made by 'Stampability'.
Our Mixability challenge - was featuring a day at the beach.  This beautiful stamp is made by 'Unity'.  I colored it with chalk and marking pens.  The shell is a stamp made by, 'Primitive Marketing Inc.'.  The sentiment is made by 'Unity' as well and comes with this stamp.

I say it every week - I hope to hear from you.  May God bless you this week and keep each one healthy, safe and cared for.  God bless!  Jan
