Hello Again Dear Bloggers!

I have some cards to share with you this morning.

This card is a result from a card I cased a couple of days ago, from Carol on SCS.  I love her card so much!  Mine however did not come close to what she had - but I can live with it.  The little girl is a digi that I printed off the computer, the stamp, 'God knows and cares.' it is from Sweet n Sassy stamps.  I embossed the yellow and black squares, one in flowers and the other in Swiss dots.  paper punched some of the hearts and die cut the others.  Took two cuts of paper to make the cross.  All in all, I don't think it turned out too bad, do you?

SCS called for two borders.  I used my paper doily ruffles as one and then added a strip of the DP on top of it.  The flowers I had bought online and added the green pearls to them.  Very simple card to make!

This was a Color Challenge on SCS.  The bright pink, yellow and medium green were the colors we were to use.  This picture does not do this card justice, I'm afraid.  As the butterfly is embossed and topped with pink gems.  My daisy and flourish are both die cuts from Sizzix.  The smaller flowers I topped with more pink gems and in the center one pearl.  Sure wish this picture had come out better!

I thought the pink stripes against this green looked so soft and pretty.  I then added DP that had baby roses on them, topped with kraft paper oval and then die cut butterflies.  Of course what is a butterfly without its pearls?  The stamp is from Sweet n Sassy.  It is so true, 'Nothing is impossible with God.'

I hope you enjoyed these today.  Be sure to leave a comment as I love to hear from all of you! God bless!  Jan

Hi there!

It is Friday and I just may have a couple of cards to show you today!  But first let me say a couple things.  One:  Be sure to read my devotionals, today I published my first one.  Just go to the left here and click on Jesus' picture and it will take you right to it.  Second: I have three weeks before I need to move out of my home and I am really getting stressed out!  It may be a few weeks before I publish again any new cards or devotionals - however; I will try to keep up!

Okay card number one:

This was a sketch challenge, which I absolutely loved!  I used my border die from 'Verve' and then placed a plaid printed pennant on top.  I also used a die cut (small) flourish by 'Cheery Lynn' and paper punched three different flower petals and layered them.  I topped it with a crochet flower, a button and adhesive pearl.  My stamp is from 'Sweet N Sassy'.  Papers are from OTC and Bazzill.  I really love the way the light aqua and peach go together!  Don't you?

Guess I have light aqua on my brain this past week.  This challenge called for us to use a tag.  As you can see, I used a wooden tag (which I picked up from a second hand store - cheap!)  I painted it with white pearled puffy paint and then stamped (HOTP) my sentiment on top.  This card I used a large flourish die in glittery white.  The flower I bought online, but can you believe it?  It is made out of fabric softener sheets!  Another beautiful crochet flower and button, also embroidery thread made the finishing touches to this card.  The marbled bg paper is OTC.

This is my last one for today.  This was for the Tea Potter's challenge.  It was made and sent to a woman who is turning 103 years old!  Just think of the history this woman could tell us!  It told to us, that she use to draw children when she was younger, and of course her name is Rose.  Hence the reason for the digital picture I chose and found online.  It is centered on a die cut oval, laced with pearls and a satin bow.  The bg dp is from OTC and the burgundy is Bazzill.

Well I hope you like these and that they have inspired you to create a card of your own!  Be sure to read my devotional - it really has a golden nugget in it!

God bless always!  Know I read all of your comments and am blessed by all of you!  Jan

Who has had enough of SNOW?????

I know I have!  It has been one of those winters; where we get more than our share of snow here in Arkansas.  I for one - am ready for the Spring!  However, since I can't do anything about the snow - Maybe we can bring Spring to us.  I do have some Spring-like cards to share with you today.

This card I made for my Step-Mother, RuthAnn, as her birthday is on Valentine's Day.  I also did this card according to the challenge by, ''V's Sweet Ideas'   which called for: To use colors, Red, Pink and White in your card, but do not make it into a Valentine's Card.  I think I hit it on the heart on this one.  Don't you agree?

Those tulips, I bought online a year ago.  Sadly the woman who makes these passed away on Thanksgiving day due to cancer.  But her art and die cuts do live on from those who have used them.  The flourish is a mini die cut, and adorned with pink gems.  The cup I used for the vase, I just cut the handle off.  The stamp is from Stampin' Up.

Believe it or not, this card was made for a woman named Rose, she is turning 103 years old!!  What a milestone she has crossed.  Can you just imagine what all she has seen and heard during her lifetime??  The picture of the girl holding roses is printer generated off the Internet, centered on an oval die cut with pearls and a satin bow.  Isn't the little girl precious?  We were told that Rose, use to draw pictures of little children.

Another card with a flower -- I really must be missing Spring!  Yet this one was a challenged to case another person's card on  I used a flower BG embossing folder, adding three die cut ovals, then centering my 'handmade' rose and adding lace.

On Saturdays, on SCS we have an 'Inspiration Challenge'.  Where they give you a source (usually an online store) to choose something that inspires you and then created a card from that picture from the online store. This is a La Blanche digi stamp which I colored.  The background of the picture is chalked in yellows and oranges and little bit of green.  I colored the digi with color pencils.  I then framed it and stamped the sentiment on it which is from Stampin Up.

I hope these inspire you all to make some wonderful cards - to show your creation and hopefully Spring will come early!  God bless you - Jan
