The Day After Thanksgiving

I trust that everyone had a 'Gobble-Gobble' day yesterday!  That each one had much to be thankful for.

I have two things to share with you today:  One, is I have made my gallery accessible to you, for viewing.  If you click on the flower to the right, it will take you right to my gallery.  If you see something that you have questions about, please jot down the name and date of the card (will be listed underneath it) and send a comment to me on this blog site.

Second, I have many cards to share with you today.  With Christmas right around the corner, I am diligently making holiday cards.  Here are some I'd like to share:

All comments are welcomed.  I love to hear from each one of you ... May God bless you as you go about your lives this week.  Blessings Always!  Jan

Shopping in Heaven

Read this story, and follow the recommendation at the end...

As I was walking down life's highway
Many years ago
I came upon a sign that read
Heavens Grocery Store..

When I got a little closer
The doors swung open wide
And when I came to myself
I was standing inside..

I saw a host of angels.
They were standing everywhere
One handed me a basket
And said 'My Child shop with care..'

Everything a human needed
Was in that grocery store
And what you could not carry
You could come back for more

First I got some Patience.
Love was in that same row.
Further down was Understanding,
You need that everywhere you go..

I got a box or two of Wisdom
And Faith a bag or two.
And Charity of course
I would need some of that too..

I couldn't miss the Holy Ghost
It was all over the place.
And then some Strength
And Courage to help me run this race.
My basket was getting full
But I remembered I needed Grace,

And then I chose Salvation for
Salvation was for Free
I tried to get enough of that to do
For you and me..

Then I started to the counter
To pay my grocery bill,
For I thought I had everything
To do the Masters Will.
As I went up the aisle
I saw Prayer and put that in,
For I knew when I stepped outside
I would run into Sin.

Peace and Joy were plentiful,
The last things on the shelf.
Song and Praise Were hanging near
So I just helped myself.

Then I said to The angel
'Now how much do I owe?'
He smiled and said: 'Just take them
everywhere you go.'

Again I asked 'Really now,
How much do I owe?'
'My child' he said, 'God paid your bill
A long long time ago.'

This poem has been sent to you
With love and for Blessings.

Have A Great Day................

In God's Hands

Good Morning everyone!  I don't know about you, but I am going through what could be very stressful times -- but I know that I am in God's hands and He is in control.  What a wonderful place to be!  “For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.” - Isaiah 41:13  No one can pluck you out - that is so comforting isn't it?  So when Satan starts in on you, saying you are not good enough, or you have blown it, God doesn't care about you.... DON'T listen to that!!  Remember Isaiah 41:13.

Now for a few cards to show you ...  Christmas style!
Isn't this a sweet sweet stamp and die set of Jesus in the manger?  I just love it.  With this stamp set comes many wonderful verses that claim the birth of our Lord Jesus.  It is from Sweet n' Sassy who makes and sells them.  Stamp setDie set.  Along with this card, I placed red gems in the corners and die cut the oval (Spellbinders) and placed a diamond in the star.

I absolutely love the way this turned out, and I hope you will too.  The wreath is a stamp made by Inkadinkado, and I just love the way it looks.  I placed it on die cut ovals, one plain and one fancy.  Both by Spellbinders.  I placed ivory, pewter and diamond gems on it; when you move the card it glistens, so brilliantly.  I wish I could have captured that on this picture.  I stamped little design above and below the wreath which is from K & Co.  Added a satin bow in silver, and Merry Christmas sentiment from Sweet n' Sassy.

This card was not easy for me, as we had to case another person's card on the SCS website.  But I am happy with the way it turned out.  I die cut the scallop squares (2 small and 1 medium), then layered it with Neenah Card stock.  I stamped and colored the cardinal; stamp is from who else?  But Sweet n' Sassy.  Then fussy cut it out so that the Green scallop would show up more, on pop ups.  Red glitter glue on the berries.  Added the red gingham ribbon bought from Hobby Lobby.  And stamped Merry Christmas which is also from Sweet n' Sassy.

Those are my new Christmas cards to show you.  I hope you enjoyed looking at them and as always love love love to hear from you all.  Know that I am so touched each time I read a comment.  May God bless each one you today and always! Jan

The Times are in His Hands

Hello Everyone!  I have something I would like to share with you today.  Matthew 26:1-5,  'Now it came to pass, when Jesus had finished all these sayings, that He said to His disciples, “You know that after two days is the Passover, and the Son of Man will be delivered up to be crucified.”  Then the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders of the people assembled at the palace of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas, and plotted to take Jesus by trickery and kill Him. But they said, “Not during the feast, lest there be an uproar among the people.”

I want you to noticed the last line of this bible verse, 'But they (the chief priests, scribes and elders) said, 'Not during the feast, lest there be an uproar among the people'.

The Passover feast, lasted 7 days.  Now Jesus held 'the last supper' with his disciples on the first day of the Passover feast.  Shortly afterwards, he went to Gethsemane to pray, and be arrested to be crucified.

The priests, scribes and elders  planned to arrest Jesus after the Passover feast, however, Jesus knew it would be during the Passover feast.  We know this because in John 19:31-37, it tells us why Jesus had to be taken down one day early.  Because they were still celebrating the Passover.

I think this is interesting, how the 'best laid plans' in our lives; are not always God's plans, nor His timing.  Acts 1:7, 'It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority.'  and Isaiah 55:8-9, 'For my thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways, says the Lord.  For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.'

Hopefully I will be back later to share some cards with you.  In the meantime I have posted some earlier, on October 26th.  God bless each of you today!  Jan
