“The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” - 2 Peter 3:9

2 Peter 3:9 is an interesting Bible verse isn't it?  What exactly does it mean?  This promise here is the promise God gave us (the Believers) to Jesus coming back for us, the promise of God bringing judgement on those who have not accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior.  God is still patiently waiting for those who have not accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior to do so.  If you are a believer, you must be so thankful that God had not come before you were saved, otherwise you would have received His judgement instead of His mercy and grace.

No our God is not slack, he is not lazy, but long-suffering - patiently waiting for those who will accept Christ to do so.  He loves us so much He is not willing for anyone to perish, but to have everlasting life.  If you have not accepted Christ, won't you do that today, right now?  Just pray, asking Jesus to come into your life, forgive you of your sins, and help you to live for Him.  Let Him work in your life and heart.  Read your bible daily, for in this you will find God's will for your life.  A life better than you could ever imagine for yourself!  So what are you waiting for?  Ask Him now - He is waiting for you.

Okay I am waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay overdue for showing my creations!  I do apologize for that!  I have got the house on the market and looking for low income housing for myself, having to go through all that government tape so to speak on filling out papers and making copies etc ... to get on this year waiting list.  And as many of you know, when life throws a bunch of stuff at you, something is going to suffer.  In my case it has been my blog site.  So again I apologize for now and in the future as I still have to pack, downsize, sell the house and find a place to live.  Oh the joy ....  Count it all joy our bible tells us!

I just love the way this card turned out.  I normally do not toot my horn, but I love the rustic, fall look of this card.  The background dp gives this card some flavor, as the pumpkin, the stamped vines on it, and the die cut vines and leaves give it color don't you think?  I love this butterfly; if you are interested in buying them here is a link to the lady who makes them.  My sentiment stamp comes from Sweet n Sassy.  A wonderful website to buy high quality stamps!

This card called for chipboard.  The cross was painted in off white paint, then stamped with a bg stamp by Inkadinkado Stamps.  Heat embossed it in rust embossing powder.  I also die cut my ovals and added small pearls and diamond gems to them.  On the bottom I stamped my sentiment by Kaiser Crafts.  The bg paper I believe is from K & Company.

This is from a sketch challenge, I love this pink design paper.  It is so fresh and vintage!  I die cut ovals, stamped the Gibson girl in brown to give it an antique look.  Added a bow in the corner.  The trick to this card is the squares, you have got to measure them and make sure they will equally fit, so not to ruin the edges underneath.

Doesn't this card make a good masculine card?  I love the brown plaids with the striped ribbon on this card.  The diagonally bg paper looks great against the plaid.  The ivory pearls give it the added elegance it needed.  My horse stamp from Studio 112 is stamped in brown ink along with my Sweet n Sassy sentiment stamp.  We all know how strong horses are, so I do believe the sentiment does it justice.

This was actually the first time I ever weaved paper on a card.  It was an inspirational piece, of a purse with this type of lines on it.  I then cut squares and triangle them,  and placed pewter colored gems on them.  The rugged edges gives it a masculine touch as well.

For my last one, I would like to show you a flower I layered with a crochet flower, gold button and pearl.  I really think it makes this card come alive.  My bg rose papers came from OTC, which I bought two sets of, as I am in love with this paper!  My Happy Birthday stamp is from Verve, another great company with lots of neat stamps and die cuts!

I hope you enjoyed this blog today -- I am so sorry it has been such a long long time!  I will try and not be a stranger from now on.  God bless all of you!  Jan
