Good Morning Everyone!

What a week!  Today I have a couple of more cards to share with you.  The first one, was for a challenge with the Tea Potter's on SCS website.  This past week it called for flowers and a kitty.  What can I say?  But that was right up my alley!  So for starters; I began with cream colored card stock, layered with a DP, from K & Company.  As you can see:

I added quite a few frills to my card.  Starting with a die cut doily, with added die cut leaves.  The leaves are from Cheery Lynn's Die cut.  I then die cut different colors for the small roses.  This die cut is from Sizzix.  Now mind you .. I am still in the 'learning' process of making these roses, and have not mastered it completely.  But I was fairly satisfied with these.  I added pearls to the centers.  After this I stamped my image of kitty in the corner.  This stamp is from Inkadinkado.  Then stamped my sentiments, which came from Sweet n Sassy.

Now for my next card.  I made this card for another challenge on SCS.  This one is for the 'Sketch Challenge'.  They give you a outline of how to arrange things on your card.  Here is the sketch they gave us this past week.

And here is my take on this challenge:

As you can see I followed the pattern SCS gave us.  I used blue for the frames of each piece.  The notes that I stamped come from Hero's Art stamps.  Added the sentiment by printer.  I also placed three black gems, a green twine bow, with a bit of scrap material I had.  Well that is it folks!  As always I love hearing from each and every one of you.  Please tell me what you think of my card.  Oh! And do not forget to read this week's devotional, just click on the tulips to the left and it will take you there.  God bless and have a wonderful week!

Good Morning Everyone!

I can't believe another week has gone by again.  Where does the time go?  Today I have a 'favorite' card that I did this past week and I want to share it with you.

As you can see, I cut four white squares and stamped it with a flourish stamp.  The stamp is from Inkadinkado collection and it is my new favorite toy.  I believe it gives a card a certain elegance to the card.  I then die cut my butterflies in different colors and only glue the antennas and body to the card, folding up the wings to give it a 3-D look.  I added black blings to the body to make it stand out.  I just love the simplicity of this card!
This next card I will be sharing today; was inspired by a sermon I heard on TV.  The Pastor talked about God storing our tears in a bottle in heaven.  We are all human and we have all cried about something or other, right?  I know I have, and I am sure you have too.
The Bible verse is from Psalm 56:8-9, 11.  I printed that on my computer onto the card itself.  I think had a digi of the girl and printed that off as well.  I placed blue tears on her face, and printed off the bottle.  I then took silver glitter to the bottle and made the tears transform from blue tears to silver tears.  I stamped the floral and added diamond gems to give it a balance look.
I hope this has inspired you to find a Bible verse that speaks to you, and create a card from it.  As always I love to hear from you.  Also take some time to read my devotionals.
God bless!

Good Morning Everyone!

I hope you are having a wonderful weekend!  This coming week is Valentine's Day - can you believe it is almost here?  Last week I showed you my Step-Mother's gift and card that I made her.  Due to my mistake got it a week earlier, but loved it as I knew she would.

Today I have a card that I entered into a 'Love Theme' Challenge on 'Sweet V's Ideas'.  I used a paper punch on the hearts, and the vines I had die cut as well as the butterfly.  I stamped the flourish (underneath the butterfly) and the sentiment both stamps are from Inkadinkado.

Another card I entered into the 'Sketch Challenge' on SCS.  I embossed the white and the blue layers of Card Stock, then added a die cut label and die cut tulips.  Then added a blue bow to the bouquet.  The sentiment is stamped with 'Sweet n' Sassy' stamp.

I hope you like this week's cards.  Be sure to stop over my devotional site and give you some refreshing breaths of God's Word.  God bless!  Jan

It's the month of Valentines!  It just so happens that my step-mother, RuthAnn has her birthday on Valentine's Day.  She loves pink and pastel colors, so this year, I have made her card and a coffee cup filled with flavored coffee and goodies!

I can't wait to give this to her!  I used pink card stock, layered with dark pink polka dots design paper, topped with more pink card stock.  (Bet you knew that didn't ya?)  I stamped 'Happy Birthday' with 'Verve' stamp, punched out gold hearts and popped them up, then I adorned this card with a glittery gold flourish, and made the two roses, which I placed pearls inside.  I then added pink gems to the card.
The coffee cup, as you can see I used the pink polka dots around the cup and inside each dot, I placed a pink gem in it.  This set is girly, frilly and sweet, just like RuthAnn!  Now if I can just get this packaged up without ruining it..........
For my second feature today ... is a card that I entered into two challenges this week.  One being the Bible Verse Challenge on SCS, and the other is the Word Art Wednesday's challenge, you can visit WAW website by clicking on the badge on the right hand of my page.
The verse reads:
I just love the look on this lion's face, like he is praying to God.  It is just so precious, like my little kitty, Precious (in the header).  I placed an embossed gold card stock, from 'Paper Studio; Pearlized Card Stock' behind the front layer.  I stamped the cross with 'Verve' stamp and placed a ruby in the center.  I then I place diamond gems to make it look like rays from heaven shining down.
Isn't this Bible verse uplifting?  No weapon, no false word shall prosper against those who belong and live for the Lord.  This is a promise from the Almighty, tuck it in your heart and believe in it.
God bless always! Leave a comment or two; I love to hear from all of you!
