Guess I am catching up ...  I came across something yesterday and I just couldn't wait till next week to share it!  I was so disappointed in my tea cups, so I tried my hand on coffee cups. I hope these will be a winner!  Every once in awhile I surprise myself ...  but I am tickled at the way these turned out and I hope you will be too!

I found a template that I was not happy with, so with a few twists and turns, I came up with these beauties.  You can't see it, but this handle on the burgundy cup has a hole in it so it looks more like a handle.  I'd like to see if I can get these copyrighted or patient before I give out the instructions on how to make them.  Although it is pretty simple to figure out by looking at these.

I plan on getting coffee sticks and packages of cookies to fill them with.  Let me know what you think of my new cups okay?  As as always, there are many devotionals to check into as well.  Just click on the 'Devotional' button on the left and it will take you to them.

I hope you all have a blessed day!

I'm Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack!  Been a long while hasn't it?

Today I have a new card to share with you, one that I cased (means I made one like someones card)  The rule is to change at least 2 things from the card you case.  This is my card that I made.

I also use this same card for another challenge, on Shopping Our Stash.  The challenge was to use your oldest ribbon.  This was my oldest ribbon and the least used ribbon, I might add.  It is a bit hard to work with, as it has beads on each side and it is so wide.

And this is the card I cased:

Her user name on Splitcoaststampers, is Card Crazy.  I just thought this was one of the most beautiful cards I have come across.  I certainly changed a lot from hers to mine, and I do not think my card brings hers justice.  But I had to try.

As you can see I changed quite a few things on my card that I cased.

1)  I changed the colors
2)  I used two different color ribbon
3)  I did not use heart pop ups in the middle, but used a pop up butterfly in the corner.

It was a real privilege to be able to case this card ...  don't be afraid to try new things.  Venture out and explore and create!  Go outside the box, try new ideas.  You might be surprised with what you create!

As always, please leave a comment.  If you have not joined my blog, I welcome you to do so.
I have a weekly devotional too, so be sure to check that out as well!
God bless always!  Jan

Good Morning Everyone!  I am finally feeling human again after my surgery and blood transfusion last week.  Whew - glad to be done with that!  I got a beautiful orchid from the Pastor and congregation and just had to share it with you.  Isn't God's handiwork amazing?

I haven't really worked on my crafts this past week, so I am thinking of combining my devotional with my craft post this week.  A verse in the Psalm speaks to me this morning, it is Psalm 98:8, 'Let the rivers clap their hands, Let the hills be joyful together before the Lord'.  Even though the world is sin filled; the creations of God still rejoice and shout out His majesty.  What a vivid picture the Psalmist wrote, the rivers clap their hands .. think about it.  Ever been near water?  Creeks ripple their sounds over rocks and moss.  Streams gentle sounds lull you into daydreams, while a raging river claps its waves down mightly the course God has set before it.  Even the ocean roars as it thunders its waves to the shores and retrieves them back again.  The grassy hills, the tree lined mountains sway in the breeze that God created.  And yet, He sent His only Son to die a brutal death for only one of His creations.  That is us, the human race.  Today take a step back and look around you, find something God has created and see the joy it gives you today.  It could be a tall oak tree, a shiny rock, a bird in flight, or a beautiful orchid.

God bless you as always!  Leave a comment and if you haven't join my blog please do so!  Jan

Hi everyone -- been in the hospital the last couple of days.  Needed surgery to take my gallbladder out and then found that I was low on blood and needed 2 pints of blood put into me.  I will recover very quickly and plan on making a new blog and devotional very soon.  Have patience with me.  God bless!  Jan

Can you believe it?  It is already 2013!  A time for reflection of where we've been and where we are going.  The past year has been a roller coaster ride for me,  many high ups and a lot of down times; but the Lord has seen me through it all.  And continues to see me through it all.

My latest card, is a Sympathy Card for a godly woman who has just lost her husband recently due to a massive heart attack.  They were great prayer warriors, living their lives for Jesus.  He leaves a wife, two teenage daughters and a four years old son.

As you can see the background is a shimmery silver paper which I rounded off the corners.  I used a die to cut out the two sized ovals and used pop up dots to give it some depth.  The sentiment is from Stampabilities.  I then printed off a picture of the bible and cut that out and paste on.  The red rose took the cake!  I used several different flower punches and quilled a small rose in the middle.  I then added a pearl for the center and stroked silver glitter on the petals.  I bended it up for depth as well.  then added three leaves on each side, punched out by Martha Stewart leaf punch.

This card inspired me to learn how to make more flowers, so last night I was up 'learning' and creating several more flowers. I hope you all had a wonderful New Years' Day and pray for an upcoming great year of 2013!

As always, love to hear from you.  Please leave me a comment or two ..  God bless!  Jan
